Sheffield beautician Helen Pass is now based at The Works Hair & Beauty – a first floor salon in Bradway. To celebrate her move, she’s offering a monthly deal for new and existing clients to take advantage of and this March, it’s Top to Toes – an aroma scalp treatment and pedi.
The combo Top to Toes treatment (£30) begins with a luxury pedi. After pounding around the streets of Sheffield, it’s time to give your tootsies some TLC.
Beginning with a soak in the foot spa, Helen then files to remove the hard skin before a foot scrub is applied followed by a cooling foot mask and massage. Between each step, feet are soaked in a lemongrass fragranced water to deodar and decongest so feet don’t sweat as much.
Welcome back soft, smooth feet for the summer. To finish the treatment, toe nails are filed, shaped and polish is applied. The Works use Vinylux Polish – which is applied similar to gel polish and lasts three weeks on toes before chipping (just be a little careful with them).
All treatments are carried out in a private treatment room located within The Works hair salon.
The newly re-vamped beauty studio has shabby chic décor and with low lighting and candles – it’s a relaxing haven to forget your worries and enjoy some ‘me time’.
Now your feet have a new lease of life, it’s time to lay back on the treatment bed, close your eyes and indulge in an aroma scalp treatment. This treatment can be performed to relax; creating a deep state of relaxation for the head, neck and shoulders – or to invigorate; Inspired by Oriental massage techniques, this treatment instills an overall feeling of wellbeing.
I opted to relax and it was a challenge to stay awake as a blend of essential oils were gently massaged in to the scalp.
Make sure you’re heading straight home following the treatment though, as you leave with the oils in your hair. For best results, try to leave the oils to soak through your hair for a few hours before you wash.
