The Sheffield salon opened its doors in spring last year. Sisters Kim and Robyn run the salon together, alongside CLAWS @ Sistachic by Meg Taylor; Mac make-up by Emma Kendall and LVL lashes and semi-permanent make-up by Amour Beaute. “Initially we just learnt to weave so we could fit the extensions on each other” Kim told me. “But when friends and family saw the finished product, they all wanted to try it too. We got so busy we gave up our full-time jobs and found a premises.”
Sistachic offers free in-salon consultations for anyone wanting to find out more. Kim told me: “We’ll show you exactly how the bonds and weaves are fitted, the colour matching process and talk you through maintenance.
“We use our own specialist method of weaving which is unique to us. We don’t use plaits or glues to apply to the hair – just a simple yet effective method of application that is secure, comfortable and easily maintained.”

There’s a variety of weave colours to choose from – you have the choice of a full head colour to perfectly match your current shade, or add in highlights, an ombre finish or a brave shade of red, pink, purple or even blue.
The fitting process takes around one hour 30 minutes, then all you need is a maintenance check every six to eight weeks to check the condition is healthy. If you need any repairs, just call in to the salon – no appointment necessary – and Robyn and Kim will fix for free.
Weave prices start from £190 for 14 inches. Maintenance checks cost £35 and removal is £30.
