Leading footwear label, Dr. Martens, is set to open its first standalone store in Sheffield next week.
The 650 sq ft retail outlet’s arrival on Chapel Walk follows openings in Portsmouth, Milton Keynes and Belfast – taking Dr. Martens’ UK rollout programme to 20 stores.
Dr. Martens UK Marketing Manager Daniel Freeland said: “Throughout Dr. Martens’ history, the brand has been adopted and subverted by countless characters, subcultures and tribes. We celebrate the free-thinking individuals who stand out from the crowd in their own unique way, as these are the authentic characters that Stand For Something.
“Sheffield is an edgy city with its own street style, as well as a great music association and student scene, so we’re looking forward to making our mark here. It’s also known for its industrial roots with a rich history of steel production, which reflects our passion for hand-crafted British manufacture.
“Our location on Chapel Walk is perfect, a quirky street where we’ll open up next to local independent businesses and a stone’s throw away from the cities amazing live music venues. We’re very excited to be opening here.”
The store will feature products from Dr. Martens’ current SS15 range.
Dr. Martens is set to open on 17th June and will be located at 52 Chapel Walk, Sheffield, S1 2PD.
