kings cross

Take the train from Doncaster to London from as little as £30 return. On arrival at Kings Cross/ St Pancreas train station, head to the Kings Cross underground then take the Piccadilly Line west to Covent Garden — just a five minute tube journey. Covent Garden station is one of the few stations in central London for which platform access is only by lift or stairs — 193 steps (the equivalent to a 15 storey building). The station often becomes congested so avoid during busy times.

drury lane

The Travel Lodge on Drury Lane is an ideal location. This London tourist hotspot is famous for its spellbinding street performers, diverse and stylish restaurants, designer shops and vibrant theatre scene, including the world-renowned Royal Opera House. London’s trendy Soho is just a few minutes’ walk and Oxford Street, Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square are just a stone’s throw away. Comfortable and welcoming, the hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and is perfect for anyone wanting to stay in the heart of London. The hotel comprises of two buildings, both of which have their own bar, restaurant and reception areas. We recommend their take-away pizzas following a night of partying. This hotel has recently been updated too, boasting a fresh new look and features Travelodge’s new room design complete with Dreamer Bed so you can be sure of a great night’s sleep.

Suda Thai 3

Dine at Suda – Perfect for sharing, the menu at this contemporary Thai offers a variety of classic favourites as well as soups, curries, rice and noodle dishes which are brought to the table as and when they are ready.

Spread over two floors, the ground floor offers an informal seating area – wooden tables decorated with Thai grass and rustic wooden stools, while upstairs boasts floor to ceiling glass windows offering a more formal dining experience.

Taste an eclectic mix of dishes from choo-chee pla, a sea bass red curry to regional specialities including kao soy, a northern chicken and noodle dish and lab gai, a minced chicken salad.

Desserts are contemporary interpretations of traditional Thai desserts; try the sticky rice and home-made coconut ice cream or if you’re feeling adventurous try the Taro balls in coconut cream.

Aptly named, ‘Relax’ is a luxurious urban day spa in the heart of Covent Garden. Led by a team of highly-trained massage therapists and natural beauty therapists, the spa performs natural beauty treatments including: facials, body scrubs, wraps and massage.

Arranged over two levels, the ground floor is a beautiful and contemporary space for an energising chair massage; and the first floor is an oasis of tranquillity with luxurious treatment rooms.
