BEAUTY: Illamasqua vegan makeup masterclass

To celebrate their recent PETA accreditation – recognition from the world’s largest animal rights group for being a cruelty-free brand – Illamasqua showcased their vegan-friendly products and brushes at a makeup masterclass.

The beauty department at Debenhams, Meadowhall, was transformed into a mini theatre where bloggers and beauty enthusiasts were treated to a glass of fizz and vegan sweet treats whilst watching MUA workshops.

As well as learning how to create a day and night look, attendees took home a box of complimentary Illamasqua goodies.

My top three vegan-friendly products:

  1. Precision Ink

Precision Ink’s fine tip allows for defined application that lasts for hours – achieving intricate detail.

Better still, it’s waterproof! And it doubles up as a nail art pen – simply seal with Illamasqua Top Coat or use it anywhere on the body.

The colour – Abyss gloss black – gives a bold and exaggerated finish to the eye, in one clean sweep.

2. Matte Veil

If you suffer from an oily T-Zone – this is the product for you.

Matte Veil preps the skin to create the perfect base before makeup application.

It’s mattifying cream-gel formula absorbs excess oil whilst retaining the skin`s natural moisture levels, providing a silky, soft finish and enhancing makeup longevity.

Apply one scoop to the palm of your hand then using a foundation or highlighter brush, then gently cover the entire face until fully absorbed.

3. Precision brow gel

Available in four shades – strike, glimpse, stare and awe – this colour rich Precision Brow Gel allows you to create perfectly defined brows to match your hair colour and skin tone.

The soft texture and long lasting properties ensure no smudging throughout the day. Apply using a fine brush – carefully drawing fine hairs through your natural brow hairs to enhance the shape and colour.
